About your role

You lead the day-to-day running of our puppy socialising and rehoming teams, line managing our Puppy Coordinators and Rehoming Coordinator. You help to make sure we have a steady supply of suitable puppies to meet our goals, while maintaining the highest standards of welfare, training and socialisation.

Working closely with colleagues across the organisation, you help shape and develop our approach to volunteering, puppy socialisation and rehoming, making sure we're always building on best practice and working towards our wider strategic objectives.

You also play an important role in connecting teams, sharing information, supporting effective reporting and helping us to identify opportunities to improve and grow. Most importantly, you support your team, enabling them to do their best work and make a positive difference to the dogs, people and communities we work with.

About you

You're a positive, proactive and flexible individual with a can-do attitude and strong experience of working with both people and dogs. You're able to communicate confidently and professionally with a wide range of internal and external people, and you're comfortable leading, motivating and supporting others.

You're open to new ideas, able to champion change and are keen to share insight and suggestions that help improve practice across the team. You're organised, disciplined and adaptable, enjoying variety and the unexpected, and you positively embrace the principles and standards that make Dogs for Good one of the world’s leading assistance dog providers.

Your responsibilities

As our Dog Supply Team Leader, you'll:

  • Lead day-to-day operations of the Puppy and Rehoming teams, providing day-to-day guidance, supervision and development.
  • Coordinate allocation of puppies and volunteers.
  • Develop and improve approaches to socialisation, volunteering and rehoming.
  • Support breeding and production planning and provide feedback into breeding decisions.
  • Ensure a consistent supply of suitable puppies to meet training needs, budgets and timescales.
  • Use organisational resources effectively.
  • Apply strong technical dog handling skills, including assessment of temperament, behaviour and training requirements.
  • Support the resolution of training and behavioural challenges, taking into consideration puppy development phases, including identifying appropriate interventions and referrals.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of the charity’s approach to dog education.
  • Promote a positive, professional and compassionate training environment aligned with Dogs for Good Values.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and other stakeholders to support the charity’s wider work.
  • Champion change by sharing ideas, encouraging innovation and remaining open and receptive to the views of others.
  • Ensure accurate records and reports are maintained as required.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
