Pet Care Post Required – Calling Dog Walker!
About the Role
Seeking a responsible companion to care for Milo, an affectionate and energetic pup! While at work for extended days, he craves consistent daily dog-walking to burn off his enthusiasm. Milo adores walks, treats, and any attention you can give. A perfect fit for someone who enjoys engaging with spirited dogs – and maybe even sharing some treats.
Responsibilities
- Conduct daily energetic walks (timing TBA but mid-morning/late afternoon ideal). Milo loves new routes or trails;
- Pay close attention to safety (rabies vaccinations up to date – donor provided);
- Grin when he grills you with excitement at the door;
- Bonus points for knowing when he’s egalitarian or needs indulgence.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
Requirements
- Must bond with spirited small/medium dog (Milo weighs ~35lbs, beige & fluffy);
- Trustworthy – Milo gets trusting without much persuading;
- Punctual; Milo adapts poorly to punctual wins (does that sound ironic?);
- No leash fears – diverting him from squirrels requires a confident leash-handler;
- Soaked garden towels result, so muck-ready socks are mandatory;

Benefits
- Unleashed therapy: Milo gifts you friendship, affection, and his famous wagging enthusiasm;
- New daily scenes: Explore local paths, greenways, or parks – Milo loves uncharted terrain;
- 10 per cent discount on nearby gardening supplies (due to his tendency to ‘work’ for any slice of garden not his; we embrace common pursuit);
- The warm sense of doing good for the world’s most obedient couch buddy.
