We do energy differently—we do it all: we make it, store it, move it, sell it, and mend it.
About Your Team
We’re the pride of Ireland. Bord Gáis Energy have been powering the nation’s homes and businesses for almost 40 years. But now, we’re so much more than just gas and electric.
Through our unique combination of household heroes and energy assets, we’re at the heart of the energy transition in Ireland, strengthening the country’s energy security and helping customers prepare for a net zero future.
Centrica Technology is driving our strategy globally. You’ll join a team modernising our platforms, strengthening cyber and operational resilience, and advancing a product-led way of working that combines engineers, data specialists, and business experts to deliver meaningful outcomes at pace.
We’re scaling automation and AI from proof-of-concept to real, end-to-end transformation—improving customer journeys, reducing cost-to-serve, accelerating delivery, and building digital foundations for aspects like energy trading, risk, field operations, and critical infrastructure.
If you want to work on complex, high-impact problems using modern engineering practices and help build reusable platforms shaping Centrica’s operations over the next decade, here’s your chance.
Opportunity: Domain Architect
Addressing challenges in energy technology in Ireland, you’ll lead end-to-end architecture across a rapidly transforming landscape. This role involves:
- Next-gen energy platforms, Salesforce, and Dynamics 365 enhancements.
- Building smart, scalable solutions that elevate customer experience, boost performance, and simplify our tech estate.
- Designing decisions that align with business goals, with a commercially astute mindset.
- Cultivating architectural excellence and coaching peers to deliver tangible outcomes.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
