New Exciting Opportunity for the Role of Domain Consultant

Location: Oxford and London (3 Days in Office)
Experience Required: 10+ Years
Contract Duration: 06 Months
IR35 Status: Inside IR35

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Domain Consultant with deep expertise in Life Sciences R&D, Laboratory Informatics, Scientific Data Management, and Enterprise Architecture. The successful candidate will provide strategic and technical leadership in defining and implementing scalable laboratory informatics solutions across research platforms.

This role will work closely with scientists, architects, business analysts, vendors, and enterprise IT teams to design modern scientific data architectures, enable laboratory automation, and deliver integrated solutions aligned with FAIR data principles.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience within pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or life sciences research environments, with proven expertise in laboratory systems, scientific data platforms, integration architecture, and digital transformation initiatives.

Mandatory Skills & Experience

Life Sciences Domain Expertise

  • 10+ years of experience working within Life Sciences, Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology, or Healthcare R&D environments.
  • Strong understanding of laboratory research processes and scientific workflows.
  • Experience with laboratory informatics platforms including:
    • Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS)
    • Electronic Lab Notebooks (ELN)
    • Sample Management Systems
    • Inventory Management Systems
    • Registration Systems
    • Scientific Imaging Platforms
    • Omics Data Platforms
    • Plate-Based Assay Systems
