Domain Expert — Data Governance, Stewardship & Information Management

Role Summary

Your mission is to curate, steward, and modernise the data foundations of diverse, large organisations—so that their analytics, AI, reporting and decision-making are resilient, ethical, and future-ready. You’ll elevate challenges around fragmented legacy systems, risky data access, ungoverned collaboration or stringent regulatory demands into business-practical solutions.

As a domain-expert professional in a dynamic boutique consultancy, your specialisation spans:

  • Data governance operating models
  • Master-data management strategy (golden source, ownership, matching)
  • Data quality (DQ techniques, quality dashboards, remediation)
  • Metadata & DLP
  • Information governance (privacy, security, compliance)
  • Data as a core enabling asset for AI (access, stewardship, control).

Methods aims to deliver continuous knowledge progression for clients—helping them embrace and harness their data drivers. This role isn’t just operational; it’s about elevating key stakeholders (CIOs, CDOs, Data Offices, procurement, compliance, legal) to positions where data equals confidence.

To succeed, you’ll master all seven client-facing domains and exemplify domain leadership—defined as: 1. Mature radical propositions—construct or rework high-impact mutual value propositions. 2. Overt prestige—admina reputation trusted by senior stakeholders. 3. Sales dialogue—feature as subject-authorities to contribute sales-letter subject lines, meeting fuels, and competitive edge.

Responsibilities

Domain-Driven Delivery

  • Shape high-quality data programmes: Apply governance, stewardship, and information management in high-stakes public-sector or regulated industries.
  • Design governance models: Define clear operating models, decision rights, ownership frameworks and escalation pathways.
  • Policy, methodology & operationalisation:
    • Draft standards (ISO 27001, ISO 8000), policies, frameworks for quality, metadata, governance workflows & secure access controls.
    • Lead data quality assessments—with benchmarks that measure impact and reduce reporting risk.
  • Cross-functional stewardship strategies: Unify data teams, business owners, developers with shared accountability for silos, supplier-linked or hybrid workflows.
  • AI-Readiness: Help clients strategically prepare their data assets and processes for risk-free, smart AI adoption.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
