Job Description
This Domain Expert ITD role will cover the UK and Ireland region. The role will report to the UK & Ireland Intelligent Devices Manager. As an Intelligent Devices Domain Expert, you will technically support the sales of Rockwell Automation solutions. These solutions include industrial control and Motor Control Centre products and services. You will work with prospective and existing customers together with the Rockwell Automation Account manager and distribution sales teams. This includes maintaining long-term business relationships and the creation of profitable sustainable business growth, including the pull-through of all Rockwell Automation's businesses.
Your Responsibilities
- Be the technical product expert and focal point in UK & Ireland for Power Control Portfolio and IC components portfolio.
- Co-operate with the sales team in promoting the product range to all customers with presentations, demonstrations, proof of concepts, performance tests, and similar activities.
- Analyse competitor products, have knowledge of competitor's strategy, further define competitive differentiators.
- Participate in trade shows, seminars, and similar marketing activities, offering demonstrations and product expertise with customers where needed.
- Support market access (Distributor and Systems Integrators) to ensure their capability in explaining the value and demonstration of RA products or technologies.
- Assist Business Lead in launch of new products to the sales team and channel.
- Validate and resolve compatibility issues of products within architectural solutions and provide guidance to both customers and the sales team.
- Update customers on new products and technology related to customer's industry and application needs as a resource to the named account team.
- Invest time in self-enablement and be passionate about learning Rockwell's offerings and solutions.

The Essentials - You Will Have
- 4-5 years of sales experience in a technology-based organisation
- Fluent English language skills
- Industrial control, Power control, Automation, or Software background
- Ability to travel in the UK & Ireland (out of office up to 70% of week)
- Supporter of customer centricity, Understand the importance of demonstrating concern for satisfying customers, Passionate about developing goals to improve our customer experience.
- A valid UK driver's licence
- Bachelor's Degree

- Focus on opportunities that support Rockwell Automation's strategy.
- Solution and application expertise in Power Control and IC related applications and demonstrated sales experience.
- Knowledge of Electrical Standard and Power Distribution Solution (optional).
- Understand business models, organisation, and go-to-market strategy, leverage.
- Knowledge of industry strategies, familiarity with outcome-based selling.
- Understand our goals and Measurements of the customer.
- Keep sales and customer relationship management data up to date in CRM tools, optimising activities by using tools.
- Experience working for or with electrical distributors.
- Manage customer relationships, engaging them in value-added activities.
