About The Company
The Blue Cedars family is growing, and we're looking for a reliable, caring and hardworking Domestic Assistant to join our team!
Blue Cedars is a specialist day service supporting adults with a wide range of learning disabilities, autism, physical disabilities and mild mental health needs across Birmingham. We are passionate about helping the people we support live fulfilling, meaningful lives and providing them with a clean, safe and welcoming environment is a vital part of that.
As our Domestic Assistant, you'll play an important role in ensuring our day service is clean, hygienic and comfortable for everyone who visits. Your work will directly contribute to the health, wellbeing and happiness of the individuals we support.
Your Responsibilities Will Include
- Cleaning communal areas, activity rooms, bathrooms, kitchens and office.
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and infection prevention.
- Replenishing cleaning supplies and reporting any maintenance issues.
- Ensuring all cleaning is carried out safely and in line with health and safety procedures.
- Helping create a welcoming environment for the people we support, their families and visitors.

We're Looking For Someone Who
- Takes pride in their work and has excellent attention to detail.
- Is reliable, organised and able to work independently.
- Has a positive attitude and enjoys working as part of a team.
- Understands the importance of maintaining a clean, safe and dignified environment.
- Previous cleaning experience is desirable but not essential.

About The Role
Key Responsibilities
- To contribute to the effective operation of domestic services.
- To clean and upkeep items of furniture, equipment and school environment.
- To maintain and ensure high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
- To follow all health and safety guidelines.
- To be an effective member of the domestic team.
- Any other duties as may reasonably be delegated by the Premises Co-ordinator.
- To undertake other duties as may be reasonably determined by the Principal.
- To be part of the team ensuring the environment and equipment are clean and hygienic.
