Job Description
The Role:
Working within our busy Facilities department at our Next Head Office, you will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and orderliness, ensuring a comfortable and hygienic environment for our employees and visitors.
The working hours for this role are 20 hours per week. Working Monday-Friday, 1pm-5pm.
What You'll Take On:
- Ensure all areas are clean and kept to a high standard.
- Demonstrate safe use of cleaning materials and chemicals abiding to COSHH.
- Be responsible for vacuuming, emptying bins, cleaning surfaces, windows and washrooms as well as any other cleaning duties as required.
- Cleaning and sanitising designated areas, including offices, meeting rooms, common areas, and toilets, according to established standards and schedules.
- Replenishing supplies such as soap, toilet paper, paper towels, and other amenities.
- Monitoring and maintaining inventory of cleaning supplies and reporting any shortages or malfunctions.
- Assisting with setup and cleanup for events, meetings, and conferences.
- Operating and maintaining cleaning equipment and machinery, ensuring proper usage and safety protocols.
- Reporting any maintenance issues, damages, or safety hazards to appropriate personnel.
- Adhering to health and safety regulations and company policies at all times.
- Collaborating with other members of the facilities team to ensure efficient operations and a positive working environment.

What You'll Bring:
- Demonstrate an ability to work within health and safety guidelines.
- Have a real passion and high standards for housekeeping.
- Have a positive attitude and a flexible approach.
- Proven experience in a cleaning role, preferably in a corporate or professional environment.
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and techniques.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail and dedication to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Physical stamina and ability to perform repetitive tasks, lift heavy objects, and stand for extended periods.
