Domestic Assistant – Critical Support Role
Location: Mount Merrion Avenue
Electus Healthcare currently has a recruitment opportunity available for a Domestic/Laundry Assistant! We are seeking a proactive, passionate, and ambitious individual to join our support team and support us in creating a best person-centred environment for our residents.
About The Role
The Domestic/Laundry Assistant plays a vital role in ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and comfort for our residents. As part of our supportive team, your responsibilities will include:
- Performing cleaning and laundry duties efficiency and timely to maintain a clean and tidy home environment.
- Demonstrating strong teamwork and a meticulous attitude to detail.
- Following a structured routine including daily cleaning tasks, laundry management, and safe handling of specialised equipment.
- Making a positive impact on the well-being of our residents by fostering a welcoming and organised living space.
While no prior experience is necessary, we require a willingness to learn and a ‘Can Do’ attitude. Full training will be provided covering cleanliness protocols, safe product usage, and equipment operation.

Responsibilities
- Maintain highest cleanliness standards across living areas.
- Assist with laundry services to ensure residents’ comfort and hygiene.
- Collaborate with the team to create an environment that uplifts the residents’ day-to-day experience.
Desired Criteria
- Previous experience in a similar care-focused role is beneficial but not mandatory.
- Resilience and flexibility in a fast-paced environment.
Contract & Salary
- Contract Type: Full-time (37.5 hours/week)
- Hourly Rate: £12.71/hour
