At Aurem Care, we're looking for a dedicated Domestic Assistant to join our team and help ensure our residents enjoy a comfortable, hygienic, and homely environment every day.
About The Role
Our Domestic Assistants are essential members of the care home team. You will play a key role in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and infection control throughout the home, helping to create a safe and pleasant environment for residents, visitors, and colleagues.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out all cleaning duties as directed by the Head Housekeeper.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout the home.
- Ensure all cleaning equipment is used safely and stored correctly.
- Follow all infection prevention and control procedures.
- Adhere to COSHH regulations and safe working practices.
- Use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) appropriately at all times.
- Respect the privacy, dignity, and individual needs of residents.
- Re-stock cleaning trolleys and maintain clean, organised storage areas.
- Support the wider housekeeping team with additional duties as required.

About You
To be successful in this role, you will:
- Have previous housekeeping or cleaning experience.
- Be reliable, hardworking, and take pride in your work.
- Be able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Have good communication and organisational skills.
- Be able to prioritise tasks effectively and work efficiently.
- Demonstrate a caring and respectful approach towards older people.

Working Hours
Bank contract, flexible working on weekdays or weekends
