An Opportunity Awaits
An opportunity has arisen within the South Coast Nursing Homes group for a Domestic/Laundry Assistant at Fernbank Residential Home in Worthing.
Hours
- 28 hrs per week, 4 days a week, 8am-3pm shifts.

Purpose of the Role
- To keep the home clean and safe, providing a superior service to our residents.
- To provide a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the home at all times.
- To clean residents’ rooms thoroughly each day after nursing staff have completed their patient care.
- To check flowers and plants and water/dispose of as necessary.
- To clean communal areas including mopping, vacuuming, dusting.
- Ensuring the home is safe e.g. removing clutter, keeping storage areas tidy.
- Shampoo carpets as and when needed.
- To present and provide clean and ironed laundry at all times, available for clients as needed.
- To take particular care with resident’s personal laundry, to prevent accidental damage and present in well-ironed state.
- To check resident’s personal laundry for tears, broken zips, or lost buttons and refer to matron for discussion if a repair is necessary.

- Hourly rate £12.76 Weekdays and £13.40 Weekends.
