This role sits at Clayfields House, where we provide a secure, supportive environment for children aged 10–18 who require assistance and guidance.
The Role: Domestic Assistant (Part-Time)
Our domestic team plays a critical role in maintaining a high-standard, safe, and clean home environment. You’ll contribute to hygiene protocols, building relationships with staff and young people while supporting operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities
- Cleaning & Maintenance: Ensure all areas meet high standards, including deep cleaning and emergency spill responses.
- Supplies & Equipment: Manage consumables, replace stock, and operate industrial cleaning equipment (e.g., vacuums, floor-maintenance machines).
- Administrative Support: Help with stock control, recordkeeping, and reporting equipment defects.
- Compliance: Follow strict Health & Safety, Risk Assessments, and COSHH guidelines.
- Collaboration: Work flexibly within the facilities team to uphold service standards.
What We’re Looking For
Desirable: ✔️ Prior cleaning/domestic industry experience. ✔️ Knowledge of hygiene, cleaning methods, and equipment.
Essential: 🧹 Attention to detail and commitment to high cleanliness/safety standards. 👥 Teamworker with positive communication—capable of engaging with diverse groups. 🔧 Willing to undergo relevant training. 📋 Ability to work independently and as part of a larger domestic service team.
