Atlas: Cleaning Operative – Community Health Centres
About the Role The post holder will perform essential cleaning duties across clinical and non-clinical areas within community health centres, maintaining recognised Atlas portfolio standards.
We are Atlas BFW Management Ltd, a subsidiary of Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. This role will operate under our Terms and Conditions.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out general cleaning duties in both clinical and non-clinical settings.
- Travel between multiple work locations (ಟ್ಟels are part of Atlas’ footprint).
Travel & Compliance Requirements
- Must hold a current driving licence and have access to a personal vehicle.
- A Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check may be required, subject to successful interview.
Core Daily Tasks
- Vacuuming & Carpet Care:
- Regular vacuuming
- Occasional carpet shampooing using specialised equipment

Hard Floors & Surfaces:
- Daily spray cleaning, scrubbing, and buffing of floors
- Routine high and low damp dusting (worktops, ledges, skirting, radiators, desks, shelves, etc.)

Electrical & Polishing Maintenance:
- Daily dusting of electrical appliances, furniture
- Periodic spray polish application

Sanitary & Waste Services:
- Cleaning of washbasins, toilets, sluice sinks, and sanitary fittings
- Replenishing soap, hand towels, and toilet tissue as needed
- Emptying waste bins (clinical/domestic) with colour-coded waste bags
- Ensuring bins are removed from premises safely

Glass & Security:
- Routine cleaning of internal glazing (mirrors, partitions, doorframes)
- Secure premises by locking doors, activating intruder alarms, and reporting suspicious behaviour
