Domestic Assistant – Part-Time (10 hours per week)
Salary: £24,796 per annum (pro rata) Type: Permanent, Part-Time Location: Clayfield House Secure Unit, Stapleford, NG9 8GU Hours: 10 hours per week (Site-Based) Closing Date: 02 July 2026, 23:55 Interview Date: 13 July 2026
About the Role

At Clayfield House, you’ll join a dedicated team supporting vulnerable young people aged 10–18 in a secure yet nurturing environment. We’re seeking a Domestic Assistant to uphold rigorous standards of cleanliness, safety, and hygiene—core to maintaining a supportive living environment for children in care.
A Strong Team Player Needed We look for someone who enjoys role-sharing and contributing to a safe, welcoming, and professional setting. Interaction with both staff and residents will be part of your duties, requiring patience, reliability, and a courteous demeanour.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness across areas in Clayfield House.
- Perform deep cleaning, emergency breakdowns, and general maintenance tasks.
- Replace and restock cleaning supplies, ensuring equipment is operational.
- Operate industrial cleaning machinery, including vacuum cleaners and floor care tools.
- Assist with inventory control and reporting maintenance/equipment issues.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations, including COSHH protocols and risk assessments.
- Work flexibly as part of the broader facilities team.

What We’re Looking For
- Desirable: Prior experience in cleaning, domestic, or facility services.
- Knowledge of cleanliness standards, equipment use, and safety procedures.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Good communication skills and a proactive, positive attitude.
- Commitment to maintaining high hygiene and safety standards.
- Willingness to undertake job-specific training as required.
