Lime Heating is actively seeking a skilled and certified Domestic Heating Engineer to provide heating services to our residential customers. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in installing, maintaining, and repairing a variety of heating systems, ensuring their efficient operation and adherence to industry standards. As a Domestic Heating Engineer at Lime Heating, you will be essential in fulfilling our clients' heating requirements, all while upholding the highest standards of professionalism and customer satisfaction.

Role And Responsibilities

Install, maintain, and repair domestic heating systems, including but not limited to boilers, radiators, thermostats, and other related components. Conduct thorough evaluations of heating systems to pinpoint faults, malfunctions, or potential issues. Accurately diagnose issues within heating systems and determine the most effective repair strategies, providing precise cost estimations to clients. Execute necessary repairs, replacements, or installations of heating system parts, ensuring all work complies with safety and quality guidelines. Undertake routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning and inspecting heating systems to maximize their functionality and avert possible failures. Work closely with clients to comprehend their heating needs, offer expert advice, and suggest fitting heating solutions. Maintain detailed records of all performed work, encompassing repairs, installations, and maintenance operations. Keep abreast of the latest developments, regulations, and best practices in the domestic heating sector. Adhere to health and safety rules and foster a safe work environment.

Qualifications And Requirements

Preferred: Level 3 Diploma in Gas Utilisation Installation and Maintenance. Essential: NVQ Level 2/3 in Heating and Ventilation (Domestic Installation), evidencing both theoretical and practical proficiency. Mandatory for gas-related tasks: Gas Safe Registration. Desired: At least 1 year of experience as a Domestic Heating Engineer. Extensive knowledge of diverse heating systems, including boilers, radiators, thermostats, and controls. Expertise in diagnosing and fixing heating system issues, with a deep understanding of heating system components and their operations. Exceptional problem-solving abilities and skill in analysing complex heating system challenges. Strong communication and interpersonal aptitudes for effective client interaction and premium customer service. Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to outstanding workmanship. Capable of working autonomously or as part of a team, efficiently managing workload and prioritizing tasks. A valid UK driving license and willingness to travel to client sites as necessary.
