Job Title: Domestic Sales Lead
At Johnsons, we are looking for a motivated and customer-focused Domestic Sales Lead to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for converting enquiries into confirmed bookings by providing professional advice, accurate quotations, and excellent customer service throughout the sales process.
This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to build trust with customers. The Domestic Sales Lead will be based in the Staffordshire area, with nationwide travel where necessary.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond promptly to incoming domestic removals enquiries via telephone, email, website, and other channels.
- Arrange and conduct home surveys (virtual or in-person) where required.
- Assess customers' removal requirements and prepare accurate quotations.
- Follow up quotations to maximise conversion rates and secure bookings.
- Build positive relationships with customers, providing reassurance and professional guidance throughout the sales process.
- Maintain accurate customer records within the company's CRM system.
- Liaise closely with the Operations team to ensure smooth handover of confirmed jobs.
- Achieve individual sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Resolve customer queries and provide exceptional pre-move customer service.
- Stay up to date with company services, pricing, and industry developments.
- Represent the company professionally at all times, maintaining its reputation for quality and service.

- Previous experience in a sales or customer service role.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organisational and time management abilities.
- Ability to build rapport and confidently close sales.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Full UK driving licence (if home surveys are required).
Desirable
- Experience within the removals, logistics, relocation, or storage industry.
- Experience carrying out home surveys.
- Knowledge of domestic removals processes and pricing.
- Familiarity with BAR (British Association of Removers) standards.
