The Role: Domestic/Laundry Assistant (Permanent, Part-Time 24hrs/week)
We’re seeking a bright, warm, and proactive individual to join our team at Oaktree Hall & Lodge in Bridlington. If you thrive on making meaningful connections and adding purpose to everyday tasks while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and care, this could be the right role for you.
Responsibilities
Laundry Duties
- Collect, sort, and wash laundry (including clothing, bed linens, towels, etc.).
- Safely operate washing machines, dryers, and ironing equipment.
- Fold, press, and store laundered items efficiently and neatly.
- Label or identify personal laundry when necessary.
- Adhere to infection control procedures.
- Promptly report any equipment faults or maintenance needs.

Domestic/Cleaning Duties
- Clean all designated areas, including bedrooms, bathrooms, communal spaces, and kitchens.
- Conduct vacuuming, dusting, mopping, disinfecting, and rubbish removal.
- Restock supplies like soap, toilet paper, and paper towels.
- Follow cleaning schedules while maintaining hygiene and safety standards.
- Notify the supervisor of hazards or repairs requiring attention.
Key Traits We’re Looking For
- Warm, positive, and approachable—someone whose energy uplifts others.
- Highly organised and reliable—able to uphold consistent standards.
- Proactive and creative, with a genuine desire to motivate and improve the lives of older adults.
- Eager to work flexibly across some evenings and weekends.
- Previous care or domestic experience is a plus, but we prioritise passion, values, and personality.
