About us
St Nicholas Hospice Care is a much-loved local charity supporting people across West Suffolk and Thetford who are living with long-term and life-threatening illnesses. We provide compassionate, specialist care not only to patients, but also to their families and loved ones—offering everything from medical support to bereavement care and practical help.
About the role
We’re looking for a proactive and hands-on Donation & Warehouse Manager to lead our busy Donation Centre. This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of a fast-paced warehouse operation at the heart of our retail network. You’ll play a key role in maximising income for the hospice by ensuring donated goods are efficiently processed, distributed, and utilised—supporting both sustainability and our vital services. You will be required to work 5 days over a 7-day rota (Monday to Sunday inclusive).

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
