Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Automation & Controls Engineer to design, develop, maintain, and optimize automation systems for solar module manufacturing lines. The candidate will be responsible for PLC programming, system integration, troubleshooting, and improving production efficiency through advanced control systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement automation systems for solar module production lines (stringer, layup, lamination, framing, testing, etc.)
- Program and troubleshoot PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems
- Work with industrial communication protocols such as Modbus, Profibus, Ethernet/IP
- Perform root cause analysis and resolve automation-related breakdowns
- Optimize machine performance, cycle time, and overall equipment efficiency (OEE)
- Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and production teams for system improvements
- Commission new machines and upgrade existing automation systems
- Maintain documentation of control systems, wiring diagrams, and logic programs
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
