The Role
The Door Supervisor is an on-site role based in the London, Kent and Essex areas. This role is responsible for managing access to venues, checking entry credentials, and conducting thorough but respectful screening of guests and staff. Day-to-day tasks include monitoring crowds, identifying and de-escalating potential conflicts, enforcing venue policies, and working closely with event organizers and other security personnel to maintain a safe environment. The Door Supervisor will complete incident reports, follow legal and regulatory requirements, and support emergency procedures when needed. The role requires a professional appearance, clear communication, and a calm, confident approach in fast-paced settings.

Qualifications

- Valid SIA Door Supervisor license (DS or CP) and strong knowledge of relevant UK security legislation and compliance requirements.
- Proven experience in event, venue, or hospitality security, with skills in crowd management, conflict resolution, and de-escalation.
- Driving License (Not compulsory, but preferred).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact respectfully with guests, staff, and external partners.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure, make sound decisions quickly, and follow established safety and emergency procedures.
- Physical fitness suitable for standing for extended periods, patrolling venues, and responding promptly to incidents.
- High level of professionalism, integrity, reliability, and attention to detail in reporting and record-keeping.
- Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, depending on event schedules.
