To surprise, amaze and amuse our customers and make everyone feel welcome by making, telling and sharing stories. As a Door Host you will be responsible for providing the first point of contact to guests and creating an excellent first impression. As Door Host it is important to be visible at the front so that customers are able to interact from the very moment they arrive to Selfridges. This position is responsible for serving as a welcoming Door Host and informational source to shoppers as they visit Selfridges. This position is the front line position and Selfridges’ first interaction with all its visitors. All duties and responsibilities of this position are to be performed with exceptional caring and genuine guest service upholding the company standards and culture at all times.

Responsibilities
CUSTOMER
- Deliver an extraordinary experience for all customers
- Make, tell and share stories
- Ability to capture additional information from consumers while interacting
- To act as the first point of contact for customers
- Be proactive in approaching
- Deliver an extraordinary experience for all customers
- Share expert knowledge and passion of other areas within Selfridges to customers and colleagues
PEOPLE
- To engage clearly, confidently and professionally with all customers, team members and managers
- To go over and above to exceed customer expectations at every opportunity, taking the initiative to provide additional services when appropriate
- To understand and demonstrate international etiquette to cater for every client and reflect behaviours accordingly
- Provide feedback from customers to the wider team to ensure increased service levels

ENVIRONMENT
- Offer and show respect in the environment within the store
- Follow health and safety procedures and security procedures
- To identify maintenance and cleaning issues on the department and take action or escalate issues accordingly
- To ensure that adhere to the agreed standards for personal appearance at all times
- To ensure that the department is fully compliant with health & safety legislation at all times, and work with the relevant stakeholders for support
