Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

The risk engineer will be expected to travel globally to meet with clients and assess their midstream & downstream assets for factors such as; process safety, mechanical integrity, active & passive fire protection, process control and emergency response. After the on-site risk assessment, the engineer will produce a ‘market report’ detailing the findings of the on-site risk assessment. As well as on-site assessments, the engineer will be expected to engage daily with the brokers to help with bid presentations, insurance technical clarifications, maximum loss studies and client roadshow presentations to the insurance markets.

About You

Ideally the candidate will have some working knowledge/industrial experience of either downstream and/or midstream oil and gas assets such as; refineries, upgraders, gas plants, fractionators, LNG facilities, pipelines or compressor stations.

Insurance industry experience would be advantageous but is not essential. We are keen to hear from both experienced risk engineers and candidates with strong technical backgrounds across midstream & downstream sectors. As a growing team, there is flexibility to shape the role around the successful candidate's experience and strengths, with mentoring and support provided where required.
