Acting Very Important Client Experience Director (Maternity Cover) – Privé
The Opportunity
Dr. Barbara Sturm is seeking an outstanding client experience leader to fill the roles of Privé as part of a 12-month fixed-term contract.
This strategic role sits at the intersection of client relations, commercial growth, and brand expression, with ownership of one of DBS Privé’s most pivotal functions. Success will involve:
- Deepening relationships with influence-prone clients
- Driving acquisition into the invite-only Privé membership
- Ensuring year-on-year revenue growth for the global Privé programme
- Mentoring two direct reports (Head of/Senior Manager and Executive) while reporting to the Global Marketing and Communications Director
What You’ll Get to Do
Privé Membership – Acquisition & Retention
- innovate targeted acquisition strategies across key global markets to expand the DBS Privé invite-only programme
- design and understand the full client lifecycle, from prospecting and onboarding to long-term retention—owning customer service solutions to ensure brand-excellence touchpoints.
- build transformative partnerships with Very Important Clients (VICs) and market leaders, acting as the trusted ambassadors of the Privé programme.
- identify high-value growth opportunities beyond existing member spend.
Client Journey & Relationship Management
- steer the end-to-end Privé client experience, guaranteeing personalisation, consistency, and exceptional service at every engagement point.
- shape the CRM communication strategy for elite clientele, curating high-value messaging (written/digital) that strengthens engagement and loyalty—ensuring segments align with brand reputation and powers long-term relationships.
- drive data-led decision-making: interpreting client behaviour, spending patterns and engagement metrics to refine segmentation and measure impact vs. commercial KPIs; collaborating with the CRM/ecommerce teams to unify digital and in-person client journeys.

Events & Experientials
- spearhead curated global events and activations driving VIP engagement, collaborating closely with marketplace teams to ensure authentic luxury-bettering touchpoints.
- as a brand representative, host and attend high-profile client events (often alongside leadership), delivering polished experience design, gifting, and brand expectations.
- manage exhibition budgets and partnerships, ensuring spend aligns with KPIs (relationship economics + ROI crackdown).
Brand Partnerships
- innovate new impactful brand alliances that push the Privé proposition deeper into affluent markets.
- work with internal/external partners to uphold the luxury positioning and commercial vision.
Commercial & Leadership Imperatives
- target incremental revenue opportunities
- faction with the business development team sharing actionable client insights and collaborating on leveraging unmet pipeline potential.
- nurture a high-performance team culture; mentor and uplift two direct reports.
- report up to SVP Marketing, presenting mastery-level data updates on client performance, budget trends, and ABM alignment.
Who You’ll Thrive As
- Luxury-sector alumnus (fashion, beauty, wellness, private lifestyle): inseparable from wealth-building relationships.
- Character-first communicator: fluency in elevated UHNWI social dynamics, confident in personal management of brand narratives.
- UX design + operations sense: conceptualise and lead end-to-end highprofile luxury activations with sophistication.
- Revenue-conversions shop: power-full solver in translating relationships into recorded KPIs + budgetary accountability.
- Data-sucker: fluent in CRM + predictive segments to drive billion-pound strategy execution.
- Finesse in anchoring oral/written stakeholder pitches (client correspondence to direct reports).
- Global agility: ability to travel and defer to evenings/weekends for market activation.
- Committed collaborator: experience with cross-functional stakeholder management (e.g., CRM, ops, ecommerce, retail, spa).
- Strong leadership legacy: proven track record in teams with direct reports.
- Science + authenticity affinity: patronship of anti-inflammatory science, personally blending with DBS philosophy encompassing its ethos.
