Highways Maintenance Technician – Dragon Patcher Operations

Key Responsibilities

Supporting Highway Improvements
- Assist in enhancing the highways network through maintenance and upgrade activities.
- Work within the Dragon Patcher operations, improving the design and execution of patching solutions.

Operational Management
- Oversee daily maintenance of the Highways Dragon Patcher unit.
- Drive the company’s safety culture, ensuring all works are executed safely and compliantly.

Scheduled & Reactive Maintenance
- Complete programmed maintenance tasks as directed.
- Conduct Location of Works Risk Assessments before all on-site activities.

Documentation & Compliance
- Record and capture required data on the works tablet (including related paperwork).

Seasonal & Extenuating Duties
- Undertake winter gritting duties/overtime when directed.

Diverse Operational Roles
- Support the operations team by performing:
- Excavation and dredging works
- Laying/levelling kerbs, slabs, and bitumen macadam
- Drainage and gully installations
- Install traffic management under strict adherence to method statements, ensuring alignment with company standards.

Customer & Internal Engagement
- Provide courteous, helpful responses to both internal teams and external clients.
Requirements
Applicants should have:
- Valid UK driving licence
- HGV licence (business can arrange test if required)
- Previously worked on the highway network
- Experience/certification in operating small plant equipment
- Traffic Management qualification
- NRSWA certification
