SLR has a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Drainage Engineer with a track record in the delivery of complex infrastructure/drainage projects to join our busy Transport Engineering Team in London, Manchester, Bristol, Cardiff, Birmingham or Leeds. The applicant will work as part of a design team on the delivery of a wide range of drainage related projects, as well as helping grow the team through a combination of business development from new, existing and internal clients.
They will have expertise delivering a wide range of drainage projects with particular focus on working on Sc104 and Sc278 Drainage Schemes, as well as Drainage Feasibility Studies, Drainage Strategies and Flood Risk Assessments.
The successful applicant will be supported by an Associate Director as well as a well-established team of Engineers to ensure successful outputs are achieved. Although the successful candidate will be sat within the Transport Engineering Team, the role requires outputs to support the wider Built Environment Disciplines.

Planning Feasibility Outline and detailed designs for major highways and infrastructure projects Overall Project and Programme Management Development and Preparation of Technical Specifications Preparation of Tender Packages and Tender Evaluation Commercial support throughout the lifecycle of a project

About The Role
You will act as a design engineer as part of a wider team to deliver complex infrastructure projects, proposal development, undertake Business Development initiatives and provide hands-on designs using FLOW and AutoCAD. You will work with others in the team and other disciplines and may be asked to mentor and coach earlier career engineers within the team and support the sector and client leads across the business.
You will have a key role is project delivery and be expected to work under minimal guidance from senior team members to deliver designs.
You will work across other sectors with SLR staff in disciplines including the Advisory, Environmental Management and Compliance, Land and Water and Environmental Specialist Services Groups. You will have the opportunity to work within an experienced team and be involved in a series of exciting challenges with one of the leading environmental and engineering consultancies in the UK. You will have the opportunity to work and travel across Europe and internal Business development in a consultancy environment

About You
If you are interested in applying, we would love to hear from you. In order to be successful, we'd envisage that you would be able to demonstrate:
A solid track record of delivering projects and working in the UK on highways and infrastructure projects. Demonstrable knowledge of UK engineering guidance, including hydraulic design standard and processes. Experience working on Hydraulic Feasibility Studies, Detailed Drainage Strategies, Flood Risk Assessments and Sc104 Detailed Design. Good FLOW (or similar) and AUTOCAD skills. Achieved or Working towards Chartership with Institute of Civil Engineers or similar Must have a full, current, driving licence valid in the UK
