Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Drainage Engineer role based in London. The Drainage Engineer will investigate, diagnose, and resolve drainage issues for commercial and domestic clients, including blocked drains, flooding problems, and drainage system faults. Day-to-day tasks include carrying out surveys, performing routine and reactive maintenance, installing and repairing drainage systems, and ensuring all work complies with relevant standards and safety regulations. The role also involves responding to emergency call-outs, documenting work completed, advising clients on preventative measures, and collaborating with colleagues to deliver high-quality service.

Qualifications

- Knowledge of ground works with the ability to apply these skills to practical drainage solutions.
- Experience working with jetting, CCTV surveys, and domestic call-outs.
- Proficiency in the design, installation, and maintenance of drainage systems for commercial and domestic properties.
- Ability to develop and interpret drainage design plans, drawings, and technical specifications.
- Relevant technical qualification or apprenticeship in civil engineering, drainage engineering, or a related field.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and commitment to health and safety standards.
- Full UK driving license and willingness to work flexible hours, including participation in call-out rota if required.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
