We’re proud to announce a new operational milestone with Southern Water and are recruiting permanent full-time Drainage Engineers to work across Sussex in 2-person teams. The Opportunity
Join our Utility Division, specialising in Southern Water solutions, within a team executing ாற்றднее practice.
Location: Crawley Depot Tenure: Permanent, 50-hour weekly contract (including weekends on-call) Salary: £27,300 per annum T&Cs:
- 21 holiday days (including birthday off).

Key Responsibilities
Core Tasks
- Travel in HGV two-person teams across Sussex to:
- Decontaminate/clean drains using high-pressure jetting.
- Diagnose and repair/inspect networks onsite.
- Maintain detailed records via specialist software (VISTEC, Salesforce).
- Deliver exceptional customer service with top-tier H&S.
- Manage equipment replenishment & perform equipment/vehicle checks pre/post-shift.
- Adhere to lone-worker & on-call policies.
- Risk-assess arrivals dynamically on every site visit.
- Foster collegial collaboration for noise, connectivity, and complexity.
Safety & Compliance
- Comply with all PPE/ jurisdictional criteria and secure workplace protocols.
- Self-assess risks real-time and report incidents to senior teams.
- Stay updated on company policies and internal training protocols.

About You
Must-Have Qualities
✅ Safety-first mindset & high regard for H&S regulations. ✅ Practical acumen for diagnosing mechanical/electrical drainage issues without experience. ✅ Resilience to adapt to varied weather & unsupervised rigour.
Ideal Skills (Non-essentials but enhancing)
✔ Some high-pressure jetting exposure (training provided). ✔ Qualifications: NRSWA (unless naively invertible to CITB core skills) or Confined Space Accreditation.
