At FM Conway, our Drainage Repair Operatives play an important role in maintaining and repairing the drainage networks that communities, businesses and the environment rely on every day.

We are looking for a Drainage Repair Operative to join our growing Water and Drainage Management team. Working alongside an experienced and supportive team, you will use specialist equipment and innovative no-dig repair techniques to restore and maintain drainage systems safely and efficiently, helping us minimise disruption to the public.

This is a full-time, permanent position based from our Rayleigh depot, with work carried out across the surrounding region. Some overnight stays will be required, for which you will be compensated.

As one of our Drainage Repair Operatives, you will:

  • Carry out drainage lining and rehabilitation works using specialist equipment and techniques.
  • Support the installation of patch repairs and innovative no-dig drainage solutions.
  • Prepare equipment, materials and work areas to ensure repairs are completed safely and efficiently.
  • Work safely within confined spaces, following all relevant health and safety procedures.
  • Support CCTV investigations and drainage surveys where required.
  • Accurately complete job records and documentation while working collaboratively with your team to deliver a high-quality service.

You'll ideally have:

  • We're looking for someone who enjoys practical, hands-on work, takes pride in delivering a great service and thrives as part of a close-knit team. You'll have a strong commitment to health and safety, a positive attitude and a willingness to learn and develop.
  • Previous drainage experience is beneficial, particularly within Robotic Cutting, Full Length Lining (UV or Inversion) or Confined Space Entry, and an HGV Licence would also be advantageous, but you don't need to tick every box.
