Draughtsman / 3D Modelling - Naval
We’re expanding our Naval Division team to work at our Bristol office.
We are currently looking for a Mid – Senior Draughtsman with experience in 2D/3D modeling and preparation of construction drawings for shipbuilding projects.
Main Responsibilities:
- Development of 2D and 3D drawings for ship structures, outfitting or piping systems
- Drafting and detailing of fabrication, assembly, and installation drawings
- Updating and revision of drawings according to engineering inputs and naval standards
- Extraction of material lists (BOM) and support to production documentation
- Interpretation of engineering plans, naval standards and technical specifications
- Coordination with engineering teams to ensure consistency and accuracy of the design
- Modeling in 3D CAD tools used in the naval sector (FORAN, AVEVA Marine, etc.)
What do you need to join the team?
- Technical degree in Naval Construction, Mechanical Drafting, Industrial Drafting or similar
- 1–3 years of experience as draftsman/delineante in the naval or industrial sector
- Proficiency in FORAN, AVEVA Marine, AutoCAD or similar CAD tools
- Ability to read and interpret shipbuilding drawings, structural plans, and outfitting diagrams
- Attention to detail, teamwork mindset, and strong communication skills
- Previous experience in shipyards or engineering companies (valued)
