We are seeking a highly capable Service & Small Works Fire Alarm Engineer to join Drax360.

This role involves carrying out planned and reactive maintenance of fire alarm systems, alongside delivering small works projects and system modifications across a range of prestigious educational and healthcare environments.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring system reliability, compliance, and client satisfaction, while also supporting the delivery of upgrades and remedial works where required.
Key Responsibilities
Service & Maintenance
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on fire alarm systems
- Respond to reactive callouts, fault finding, and system diagnostics
- Service both conventional and addressable systems
- Identify system deficiencies and recommend remedial actions
- Ensure all servicing is completed in line with BS 5839 and industry standards
Small Works & Installations
- Deliver small works projects including system extensions, device additions and relocations, panel and component upgrades
- Carry out installation, commissioning, and testing
- Support surveys and provide technical input where required
- Ensure works are delivered safely, on time, and to specification

Essential Requirements
- Minimum 3+ years’ experience in fire alarm servicing and installation
- Strong background in fault finding and maintenance
- Experience delivering or supporting small works projects
- Experience working within live environments (healthcare/education desirable)
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding capability
- Good knowledge of BS 5839-1 (2025)
- Ability to:
- Read and interpret drawings
- Commission and test systems
- Modify existing systems safely and compliantly
