Role: Case Manager

Responsible to: Service Manager Contract type: Fixed term until 31 March 2028

Purpose

The Case Manager will:

  • Proactively engage with high-risk perpetrators of domestic abuse identified through MARAC (Multi-Agency Risk Assessment Conferences).
  • Secure consistent attendance, influence attitudinal and behavioural change, and coordinate access to complementary support services.
  • Collaborate with local agencies to design and implement a strategic, individual intervention plan addressing risks and promoting awareness of abusive behaviour’s impact.
  • Work closely with the IDVA (Independent Domestic Violence Advisor) service to:
    • Monitor risk assessments, develop safety planning, and align outcomes for victims and perpetrators.
  • Oversee long-term behaviour change strategies, ensuring sustainable positive outcomes for service users.

Responsibilities

Interagency Work

  • Embed the Case Manager role into the local multi-agency response to domestic abuse.
  • Demonstrate understanding of institutional advocacy to pro-socially challenge partner agencies, ensuring alignment with Drive Project aims.
  • Support colleagues in risk-based responses for service users.
  • Partner statutory, private, and voluntary sectors to tackle domestic abuse via coordinated intervention plans.
  • Represent the service at:
    • Operational multi-agency meetings, with actionable feedback for evaluation.
    • KNOWLEDGE: Domain-specific expertise described downstream.
  • Serve as the single, proactively engaged point of contact for multi-disciplinary case workers.
  • Exhibit flexibility for on-site versatility in diverse团妻(HK slang; intentionally replaced in context) environments.

Case Management

  • Uphold child protection and data-sharing policies, ensuring compliant safeguarding frameworks for service users and colleagues.
  • Manage a case load of high-risk perpetrators, combining:
    • Assertive, medium-to-long-term interventions (adopting "Support or Disrupt" philosophies).
    • Thorough assessment and evidence-based support planning.
  • Contribute to quarterly:
    • Service reviews (including data tracking, evaluations, and workforce monitoring).
    • Monthly case management meetings with the Service Manager.
    • Clinical supervision sessions.
  • Act decisively to mitigate imminent risk to others.

Recording and Administration

  • Maintain accurate, confidential case documentation adhering to:
    • Data Protection Act requirements.
    • Drive Project’s electronic case management systems (ensuring data integrity on user behavior changes, agency collaboration, and risk triggers).
  • Perform weekly audits of all communications, ensuring:
    • Up-to-date registry trails.
    • Condesa compliance for full information-sharing protocols.
  • Securely preserve:
    • Audio/visual recordings upheld within organised legal protocols.

Direct Work with Service Users (Perpetrators)

  • Deliver proactive engagement through evidence-based approaches, fostering positive behavior change across their Drive Project journey.
  • Employ motivational interviewing, relationship-building, and therapeutic skills to disrupt established cycles of abuse.
  • Support service users in identifying and overcoming barrier factors (e.g., unsubstantiated housing barriers or substance dependency).
  • Ensure adherence to strict accountability for ongoing perpetration.
  • Implement:
    • Comprehensive risk assessments and tailored action plans.
    • Referrals to specialised services where necessary.
    • MARAC involvement.
  • Introduce domain-disruptive risk reduction mechanisms through:
    • Parenting assessments/corrective interventions safeguarding children.
  • Value:
    • Diversity-inclusive service delivery.
    • Close collaboration with IDVAs, supporting all impacted parties (e.g., ex-partners, new partners, children).
  • Prioritise children’s emotional safety through:
    • Addressing situational parenting terms aligned with Drive Manual standards.

General

  • Remain current with legal/regulatory standards and organisational practices governing domestic abuse responses.
  • Participate in promoting the Drive Project through local training, event representation, and neighbourhood presentations.
  • Feed insights into service improvement initiatives rooted in stakeholder experiences (service users & allied agencies).
  • Evidence reflective practice and institutional dedication through continuous self-assessment and Tyler clarity.

Experience

Direct work with vulnerable cohorts, such as:

  • Families/caregivers in latent public protection context(s) e.g.:
    • Child protection advocacy.

    • Multi-Agency Public Protection Arrangements (MAPPA)-aligned vulnerability.
  • Experience navigating: curt evaluation/safeguarding emergency escalations.
  • Proficiency in legaleducation-targeted reporting for various audiences.
  • Legislative code implementation in synergistic partnership dynamics.
  • Oversight of conflict resolution curatives, escalating contingent needs.
