About the Role
Speedy, the UK’s leading hire provider, specialises in tools, specialist hire equipment, plant, and support services. Based in Bridgwater, this Delivery Driver position is critical to daily operations.
You’ll drive a 3.5-ton flatbed van to deliver hire equipment locally, representing Speedy’s vision, mission, and values with professionalism and customer focus.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate a 3.5-ton flatbed van for equipment deliveries.
- Demonstrate strong customer service and local knowledge.
- Contribute to ESG strategy alignment—Decade to Deliver.
- Uphold prominence as the face of Speedy in the community.

Requirements
- Full UK manual driving licence (no more than 6 penalty points).
- Experience driving within the UK.
- Good local area knowledge.
- Customer focus, reliability, and adaptability (e.g., flexibility for varied weather).
- Self-motivated, independent, and upbeat.
- Willing to walk long distances and work outside.
Proficient in Flexible/Cycle arrangements advantageous.
Location & Hours
- Bridgwater, Somerset.
- Monday–Friday, 07:30–17:00, for 42 contract hours.
Salary: £29,572 per annum, adjusted pro rata for flexible hours.
