Role - Driver (7.5ton)

Location

Gloucester

Hours & Working Pattern

  • Mon – Fri, 07:30 – 17:00
  • 42 hours per week
  • Flexible hours available, including job shares and amended hours (allenuence considered).

The role supports their operations by delivering hire equipment across the Gloucester area using a flatbed van (7.5-ton capacity).


About the Role

You will be driving and delivering hire equipment locally. This key position involves representing Speedy’s vision, mission, and core values in all customer interactions. The role is dynamic and crucial to the business.


Responsibilities

  • Drive a 7.5-ton flatbed van to deliver hire equipment within the Gloucester area
  • Ensure efficient and timely deliveries
  • Act as a customer-facing representative, reflecting positively on Speedy’s brand values
  • Support the unit/team in driving the Decade to Deliver (ESG Strategy)

Requirements

Core Skills & Qualifications

  • Valid UK manual driving licence (no more than 6 penalty points)
  • Proven experience driving sat-nav or GPS within the UK
  • Strong mechanical awareness (experience handling vehicles/equipment is advantageous)
  • Good knowledge of the local area (Gloucester and surrounding zones)
  • Customer service focus with a strong sense of community and professional pride
