LGV Driver (Feed Delivery) – Full-Time
Reference: R9693 Reports to: Logistics Manager
About the Role
As an LGV Driver, you will load and deliver feed to farm premises nationwide across the UK, operating across different locations as required. This role will involve overnight working as part of the job.

Key Responsibilities
LGV Driving
- Ensure full compliance with all legal requirements for LGV driving.
- Demonstrate consideration for all road users and the public in every operation.
- Accurately and legally maintain tachograph records, including:
- Digital and manual entries
- Defect reports (if applicable)
- Operate vehicles within speed and weight limits at all times.
Feed Delivery
- Ensure precise, select deliveries to customers’ farm premises.
- Maintain safety standards while working on nearby farms, including:
- Correct bin allocation for feed
- Compliance with UFAS (UK Feed and Food Regulations)
- Prioritising the safety of farm employees and livestock
- Avoiding accidental damage to property
- Follow strict EH&S guidelines—minimise risks to all relevant parties.

Paperwork & Compliance
- Complete all delivery records, cleaning reports, and defect logs with accuracy and timeliness.
- Report and document any vehicle or operational issues promptly.
Health & Safety
- Strict adherence to:
- ForFarmers UK health and safety policies
- Customer-specific safety regulations
Environmental Compliance
- Full compliance with site IPPC regulations.
- Commitment to surpass company environmental policy targets under the EMS (Environment Management System).
- Work with Location Transport Managers to enhance onsite sustainability initiatives.
Requirements
Qualifications & Certifications
- LGV (HGV) Class C+E licence (hold or capability to enrol and obtain).
- Valid Driver CPC card, with up-to-date training (continued professional driving standards).
- Digital Tachograph Card (for automated tachograph records).
Experience
- Proven regular LGV driving experience (accepting newly qualified C+E drivers with demonstrated commitment).
Skills & Competencies
- Excellent communication abilities—spoken communication in English (knowledge of farm-related terminology advantage).
- Strong time, grit, and responsibility—meet delivery goals and adhere to WTD & EU Driving Legislation compliantly.

- Willingness to undergo company-sponsored training throughout OL’s timeline.
