Our Distribution team are now looking for a van driver to support the Dispatch department in our Knightsbridge store.
As a Harrods’ Dispatch driver, you'll play a vital part in our Knightsbridge Dispatch team. Your responsibility is to ensure the prompt delivery of customer orders and to proactively address and solve, any inquiries or concerns that may arise during these deliveries. Please note this position works shifts between the hours of 8am-9pm (subject to change in peak periods) 5 out of 7 days of the week with regular weekend work. Shifts are on a weekly rotation.
About the Role
Our drivers play an integral role in the delivery of day-to-day operations for our dispatch department, where we thrive together in bringing moments of magic to our customers and our team. In this role you will be responsible for:
- Safely and efficiently operate a company-provided dispatch van to deliver and pick up goods to and from various locations.
- Plan and follow the most efficient routes using GPS and company-provided technology to meet strict delivery deadlines.
- Load and unload the van carefully, ensuring that all items are securely packed and organised to prevent damage during transit.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, reporting any maintenance issues or damage immediately to management.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and pickups, including signing for packages and obtaining signatures from recipients.
- Communicate effectively with the dispatch team, customers, and other staff members to resolve any delivery issues or delays.
- Provide friendly and professional customer service during every interaction.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Keep the vehicle clean and organised, both inside and out.

About You
You will have:
- A valid UK driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience as a van driver, delivery driver, or a similar role is preferred.
- Familiarity with local streets, neighbourhoods, and routes in the London area.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physical ability to lift and move heavy packages up to 25kg and to handle repetitive tasks.
- A positive attitude and a commitment to customer satisfaction.
