Location: Manchester, expected to cover Birmingham, Hemel, Norwich and Chester

What To Expect
Join our Cash in Transit (CViT) team and play a vital role in delivering one of the UK’s most trusted services. As an Area Crew Member, you’ll help ensure the safe, secure and timely movement of cash and valuables, enabling Post Offices and our customers to continue serving communities across the country.
- Working across your designated areas (Birmingham, Hemel, Norwich, and Chester), you’ll provide operational support wherever it’s needed most.
- From transporting valuable consignments and operating secure vehicles to supporting depot activities and maintaining the highest safety and compliance standards, no two days are the same.
- Every day, you’ll play an important part in protecting the movement of cash and valuables across our network, helping Post Offices continue delivering the trusted services that communities rely on.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, takes pride in delivering excellent customer service, and thrives in a fast-paced operational environment.
As an Area Crew Member, flexibility is essential, and you’ll be expected to travel within your designated area, with overnight stays when required. All overnight accommodation and reasonable expenses will be covered.

What You’ll Need To Succeed
To be successful in this role, you’ll be a dependable team player with a strong commitment to safety, security, and delivering excellent customer service. You’ll be confident working independently, adaptable to changing priorities, and comfortable following established procedures within a highly secure environment.
You’ll Also Have
- A full UK driving licence
- A valid SIA licence (required before starting the role)
- Excellent driving skills with a strong understanding of road traffic regulations
- A customer-focused approach with strong communication and people skills
- A flexible approach and willingness to travel across your designated area, including overnight stays when required
- A commitment to maintaining health, safety, security, and compliance standards at all times
Please note: This role requires you to work within a high-security environment and travel across multiple operational sites. Successful applicants will be required to complete our pre-employment screening process, including five years of referencing.
