Driver Class 1 Trunker
LGV Driver – Banbury Depot (On-Behalf-of Delivery Services)
About the Role
Working as part of the transport team at our Banbury Depot, you will play a crucial part in achieving divisional targets by providing a first-class, on-time, and friendly delivery service between depots.
Role and Responsibilities

Legislation Compliance & Safety:
- Maintain full awareness of and adherence to all LGV driving legislation.
- Follow all Health and Safety procedures, ensuring compliance for yourself and others.

Food Safety & Chill Chain Standards:
- Comply with all relevant food safety laws and chill chain regulations.
- Regularly check and set the vehicle refrigeration unit to the correct operating temperature.

Vehicle Maintenance & Paperwork:
- Ensure your LGV vehicle remains safe and clean, completing all pre-dismissal safety checks.
- Record defects accurately in your defect book.
- Confirm all necessary paperwork accompanies each load (e.g., truck manifest, backhaul paperwork).

Driver Debrief & Additional Duties:
- Cooperate fully in the driver debrief process.
- Perform a range of duties including multi-drop deliveries, yard tasks, or shunting as required.

Working Hours & Requirements
- 48 hours per week, including potential Saturday shifts and public holidays.
- Overtime opportunities available.
Essential Requirements:
- A current LGV Class 1 driving licence (newly qualified drivers welcome).
