Driver - Class 2
🚀 HGV Class 2 Driver – Brighton (Supply Chain & Operations)
Role Overview
- Salary: £40,141 per annum (£17.15/hour) plus bonus
- Working Hours: Monday–Friday, starting ~06:00 (45 hrs/week)
- Company: Brakes (part of Sysco, the UK’s leading foodservice company)
As part of a growing national team, you’ll deliver essential food products to customers across Brighton and beyond—ensuring timely, safe, and hygienic deliveries while playing a pivotal role in operations.
About the Role
A standout role supporting our national food distribution mission. Your core responsibilities include:
- Delivering ambient, chilled, and frozen products to local customers
- Ensuring safety compliance, timeliness, and food hygiene standards
- Maintaining accurate records, load plans, and customer relationships
- Operating flexibly within shift patterns and a proactive work environment

Responsibilities
✅ Transport and deliver products safely, on time, and to regimented standards ✅ Comply with national safety regulations while managing logs and documentation ✅ Build trust and rapport with colleagues, customers, and stakeholders ✅ Respond dynamically to operational demands within a dynamic industry
Requirements
Key Criteria
- Valid HGV Class 2 licence (with PCV classification)
- Current CPC Card in good standing
- Ahead-of-schedule personality: proactive, detail-oriented, and reliable
- Strong drive to deliver exceptional customer service
- Self-motivated with excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Process compliance mindset and adaptability for shift-based work
