HGV Class 2 Night Driver (Cat C) - Lochore, Fife
£17.54 per hour | 39 hours | Know your shifts 4 weeks in advance
You'll know exactly what you're working a month ahead. Our drivers work a fixed 4-week rotating pattern, any 5 nights from 7 including some weekends, with shifts starting at midnight. No last-minute calls, no guessing what next week looks like.
You'll be delivering fresh bakery products to our own shops across Fife and central Scotland. Every shop is ours, every route is a regular route, and you'll get to know them well. We're investing in the fleet, with brand new DAF trucks joining this year.
The job:
- Multi-drop deliveries to Bayne's shops on established routes
- Loading your vehicle at our Lochore bakery and unloading at shops
- Daily walkaround checks, defect reporting and keeping your vehicle right
- Full legal compliance: drivers' hours, tachograph and safe working

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
