Job Title: HGV Class 2 Driver
About the Role
At Brakes, a proud part of Sysco—the world’s leading foodservice company—we’re scaling up across the UK and striving to set the standard in our industry. Join our team in Thetford as an HGV Class 2 Driver and play a key role in delivering excellence.
Responsibilities include:
- Transporting ambient, chilled, and frozen products safely and efficiently across the local region
- Ensuring timely, high-standard deliveries while meeting food hygiene regulations
- Maintaining accurate records, completing load plans, and fostering strong relationships with customers and colleagues
- Operating flexible shift hours (Monday–Friday and seasonal Saturdays, 05:30–15:00)
- A 45-hour workweek with opportunities for reasonable overtime

Compensation & Benefits
- Annual Salary: £41,677 (£17.81/hour, inc. shift pay)
- Glassdoor-rated benefits (unlisted specifics included in full benefits package)
Requirements
Successful candidates will possess:
- A valid HGV Class 2 licence
- Up-to-date CPC certification
- A proactive, detail-oriented approach to work
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
- Commitment to adhering to company processes
- Flexibility to manage shift-work schedules
