About Dorset Travel

At Dorset Travel, we've been dedicated to making a difference in our community since 2008. Every day, we ensure over 13,000 passengers travel safely across Dorset. From school children to day centre visitors, we make every journey comfortable and secure. Now, we're looking for caring and responsible drivers in the Shaftesbury, Blandford area to join our team, helping transport vulnerable adults and the elderly with the utmost care and safety.

What You Will Be Doing

Your main job is to ensure the health and safety of our passengers. This includes understanding potential hazards and following strict safety policies.

  • You'll need to be active and able to assist passengers, including those in wheelchairs. This might involve running to ensure a passenger's safety, bending, stretching, lifting, and securing wheelchairs inside the vehicle.
  • You'll be trained in emergency first aid to handle any situation calmly and effectively.
  • Your role is crucial in safeguarding our passengers from harm. We'll provide all the training you need to do this confidently.

What’s in it for you?

  • Play a key role in the daily lives of those who rely on us for their transportation needs.
  • As an accredited training centre, we offer full induction training to equip you with the necessary tools and knowledge.
  • Be part of a dedicated team committed to providing high-quality service and making a positive impact in the community.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
