Driver / Parts / Workshop Assistant
Overview
We are seeking a competent and reliable Driver / Parts / Workshop Assistant to support our workshop and parts department. This role involves mainly driving high-end prestige vehicles, assisting with parts operations, and supporting workshop technicians when required. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills, strong attention to detail, and a genuine interest or background in the automotive industry.
Key Responsibilities
Driving Duties:
- Drive high-end prestige vehicles in a professional and responsible manner
- Carry out road tests when required, with the ability to understand and report vehicle performance accurately
- Collect and deliver vehicles, parts, or documentation as needed
- Represent the company professionally at all times when interacting with customers
Parts & Workshop Support:
- Assist in the parts department when not driving
- Accurately identify, pick, and process vehicle parts
- Use computer systems for parts lookup, stock control, and administration
- Cover the Parts Manager role during absence when required
- Support workshop technicians with general duties and assistance as needed
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment

Requirements
- Full, clean UK driving licence (no points)
- Confident and competent driving high-value vehicles
- Background knowledge or experience within the automotive industry preferred
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy, particularly with parts handling
- Computer literate and comfortable using parts systems
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Flexible, reliable, and willing to assist across departments
- Must be fit and well for carrying and moving parts
Desirable
- Previous experience in a parts department or workshop environment
- Familiarity with prestige or performance vehicles

Salary
- Up to £32k per annum subject to skills and experience
Hours of Work
- 8.00 a.m. - 4.30 p.m. (Monday to Thursday)
- 8.00 a.m. - 4.00 p.m. (Friday)
- Will consider 35 hours starting at 9 a.m.
Holidays
- 28 days holiday including public holidays plus additional days with service
