Job Description
Salary: £13.45 per Hour
Position Type: Permanent
Hours: Part time hours per week

Our role is to help children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) travel safely, confidently and with a smile.
Our Driver Attendants and Passenger Assistants play a vital role in supporting young people and their families — and we’d love you to be part of our team.
Your ability to communicate clearly, confidently and with empathy will be key, making a real difference to how children and their families experience our service. We know you will appreciate why this will be assessed through our recruitment process as it's such an important part of the role.

What You’ll Do
You’ll support children and young people on their journey to and from school by:
- Providing a warm, caring and reassuring presence
- Communicating clearly and kindly with children, parents/carers, schools and colleagues
- Adapting your communication style to meet individual needs, including non-verbal or additional communication needs
- Helping children feel safe, confident and understood during their journey
- Supporting them to prepare for travel and get on and off the vehicle safely
- Ensuring safety equipment is used correctly
- Working closely with drivers, passenger assistants and transport teams to deliver a smooth, reliable service
