About Us: We are a well-established, busy roofing firm based in South Oxfordshire. From minor repairs to full slate/tile and flat roof installations, we’ve got a large pipeline of long-term local work. We don't just want a pair of hands; we want someone who wants to learn a trade.
The Role – What You’ll Do: No two days will be the same. You will be the backbone of our daily operations, splitting your time between logistics and on-site training:
- Driving & Logistics: Picking up and delivering roofing materials, tools, and plant to local sites safely and on time.
- Site Support & Learning: Assisting our experienced roofers on-site, keeping the workplace safe, and getting hands-on to learn roofing skills (tiles, slate, liquid rubber).
- Yard Management: Keeping the main yard organized, loading/unloading deliveries, and checking stock.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
