Job Description
To transport the hatching eggs from Breeder farms to the hatchery and day old chicks from hatchery to Broiler farms.
To gain a full understanding of poultry in MP.
Contribute to that department/ add value by developing requisite skills in this area in line with MP competency framework.
To drive the vehicle in a safe and courteous manner at all times.
To project a clean and smart image at all times.
To observe all current driving legislation, tachographs, etc
To ensure that the vehicle is cleaned, both inside and out to the highest standard.
To follow all Company bio-security protocol.

To follow all procedures and codes of procedures on animal welfare.
To collect hatching eggs and deliver day old chicks in the best possible environmental conditions, driving with respect to your payload at all times.
To be polite and courteous to Farm Managers, etc. whoever you come into contact with in the course of your work.
To feedback to the Hatchery Management any concerns about safety, vehicle maintenance, farms, etc. Anything that may affect your performance or that of the stock you carry that you may have an adverse or beneficial effect on the Company as a whole.

Essential Criteria
- C&E (LGV) License, (formally HGV Class 1) with no more than 6 points
- DCPC Training (Certificate essential from 2014)
- Flexibility
- Ability to work on own initiative
- Good communication & organisational skills
- Have worked in a Transport environment and be aware of Transport Operations & Legislation
Desirable
- Digital Taco Graph holder
- Transport of Animals by Road Certificate
Shifts:
Flexible, any 5 days from 7, Sunday to Saturday
