Location: RAF Brize Norton, Carterton, Oxfordshire, OX18 3LX
Salary: £32,000 – £33,417.14 per annum plus benefits (inclusive of shift allowance)
Schedule: Permanent, Full-time, 42 hours, Swing Shift – Monday to Friday (one week of earlies and one week of lates) or 2 days, 2 nights (12 hour shifts) and 4 days off

As a Driver in our RAF Brize Norton team, you’ll play a vital role in delivering safe and efficient transport services that keep operations running smoothly. Your work will directly support the Royal Air Force and Ministry of Defence, helping ensure essential services are delivered to those who need them most.
At RAF Brize Norton, Serco has been providing multi-activity and engineering support since 1997. This is the largest operating base within the Royal Air Force, and your contribution will help maintain critical air transport and refuelling capabilities that impact communities and national security.
What You’ll Do As a Driver
You’ll be entrusted to:
- Carry out a full range of driving duties across the site, ensuring compliance with EU and GB driver regulations.
- Complete tachograph or GB Driver logbooks accurately and carry driver cards as required.
- Perform daily vehicle checks and report defects promptly.
- Ensure compliance with Company Policies and directives relating to Road Transport and Dangerous Goods.
- Drive safely and courteously, securing loads and ensuring passenger safety at all times.
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and wear appropriate PPE in line with risk assessments.
- Report any damage, accidents, or incidents promptly and in accordance with company policies.
- Participate in training and development activities as directed.
- Notify management of any safety, compliance, or operational issues that could impact service delivery.

Does this sound like you?
You’ll be a great fit for this role if you have:
- A full driving licence, Category D (Category C desirable).
- A Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (DCPC) for relevant licences held.
- The ability to meet colour perception standards for an Airfield Driving Permit.
