Driving Assessor – Permanent Role Pay Rate: £38,785.50 | Grade: RCS O | Contract: Permanent
Location & Shift Pattern
Livingston, EH54 8AS Monday to Friday shifts (4am–8am) with 1 weekend shift every 4 weeks
About the Role
At DHL Supply Chain, we’re more than just logistics professionals—we’re the heartbeat of Britain’s delivery network. As a Driving Assessor, you’ll ensure safe, compliant, and exemplary driving standards across our transport operations.
Day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Delivering driver inductions, assessments, and refresher training aligned with DHL’s standards.
- Conducting on-road assessments (routes, store deliveries, vehicle movements).
- Using telematics and compliance tools to spot risks and facilitate targeted coaching.
- Supporting accident/incident investigations with root cause analysis.
- Maintaining driver training records, compliance documentation, and matrices.

Who’s Right for This Role?
Ideal candidates demonstrate:

Essential Qualifications:
- Valid HGV Class 1 Licence (C+E)
- Driver CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence)
- Digital Tachograph Card

Experience & Skills:
- Proven transport industry expertise and hands-on driving experience.
- Strong preference for mentoring, training, and performance development.
- Ability to confidently communicate with drivers, managers, and stakeholders.
- A proactive commitment to safety, compliance, and continuous improvement.
