Drivers Mate – Home Delivery (Permanent)

About the Role
Here at GXO, we’re partnering with B&Q and are looking for a Drivers Mate to join our Home Delivery team in Doncaster (DN6 7FB).
This is a full-time, permanent role operating on an ‘Any 5 from 7’ working pattern, with a 06:30 start time, covering up to 48 hours per week.

Your Responsibilities
A typical day might include:
- Delivering kitchen and bathroom products to customer premises (room of customer’s choice) on a multi-drop basis
- Assisting the delivery driver with:
- Manoeuvring the company vehicle
- Loading and unloading as required
- Providing excellent customer service while ensuring goods are delivered in perfect condition
- Keeping customers informed of estimated delivery times and addressing any issues in a polite and courteous manner
Requirements & Qualities
To succeed as a Drivers Mate at GXO, you should have:
✔ Preferred (but not essential) experience with multi-drop home delivery ✔ Strong customer service skills (both verbal and written) ✔ The ability to complete manual tasks such as pulling, lifting, and pushing ✔ A "can do" attitude with problem-solving skills ✔ Willingness to complete a pre-employment DBS Check
