Here at GXO Coventry we are looking for Drivers Mate to join our transport team, supporting our customer Halfords. You’ll play a key part in keeping the supply chain flowing smoothly in a fast-paced, team-driven environment.
You will be working on a full-time, permanent basis, on an ‘Any 5 days from 7’ pattern, with a start time window of 02:00 to 04:00, contracted to 48 hours per week.

What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Assist the driver with multidrop deliveries, supporting up to 6 drops per shift and helping to collect returns from stores in line with operational needs
- Help with the safe and efficient handling of palletised goods and cages, including loading and unloading at each delivery point
- Maintain clear communication with the driver and Depot Transport Office, ensuring any issues are reported promptly while delivering excellent, courteous customer service
- Support safe and compliant operations by following company procedures and assisting with accurate completion of required paperwork
What you need to succeed at GXO:
- Previous experience supporting multidrop deliveries is preferred but not essential
- Strong customer service skills with clear and professional communication
- Comfortable carrying out manual handling tasks including lifting, pulling and pushing
- Positive, can-do attitude with a proactive and reliable approach to work
