About the Role
Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced and supportive team? We are currently recruiting for a Drivers Mate to join our Greene King operation in Tilbury. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and reliable individual who enjoys working as part of a team and delivering excellent service to customers.
An exciting opportunity for a Drivers Mate has opened at our Greene King site in Tilbury. You will be working with the transport team to ensure GXO Logistics fulfil their responsibilities relating to the distribution of Greene King product from the Northampton operational site.
This is a full time, permanent role. You will be working Monday to Friday on the early shift, starting 04:00 - 07:00.

What You’ll Do on a Typical Day
- Support the driver to ensure the vehicle is loaded correctly and the load adequately secured
- Assist throughout the delivery and collection process
- Be responsible for reporting issues to customer care
- Take ownership of paperwork and support the driver with navigation as required
- Work as a banksman when required
- Support depot with the off-loading and stowing of empty containers
What You Need to Succeed at GXO
- Previous experience as a Driver Mate or similar desirable
- Flexible approach to work
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills with a customer-focused approach
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, showing initiative and adaptability
- Commitment to Health & Safety and maintaining operational standards
